Margaret-Ellen Johnson MHS

Margaret-Ellen Johnson is a project manager and clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is currently working on a project that seeks to reduce suspension and expulsion from childcare settings by improving existing social and emotional development services. Additionally, she works on a project examining the healthcare navigation by immigrant populations in Philadelphia.  She is interested in the intersections of mental health, nutrition, race, and gender in intergenerational pediatric and early adult settings.

Previously, Ms. Johnson worked in organ procurement and fulfillment for research organizations. She has assisted former sex workers and/or victims of domestic and sexual violence reclaim their bodies through fitness and movement programs. Prior to that, she was a Department of Defense contractor examining suicide in the armed forces.

Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master's in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from Drexel University.
