Sherry Winston is a project manager at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She currently works as an early childhood assessor on the Digital Literacy Promotion (DLP) study that evaluates the effects of digital versus standard literacy promotion, as well as the dialogic behaviors and reading comprehension in infants when comparing use of standard board books with digital e-books.
Previously, Ms. Winston worked as a bilingual early childhood assessor for the KiDSS Research Study in the department of Adolescent Medicine at CHOP. The KiDSS Study examined the comparative effectiveness of developmental-behavioral screening tools and the validation of a screening tool in Spanish. In this study, she worked with Spanish-speaking immigrant families, performing developmental and behavioral assessments with children ranging in age from 9 to 60 months of age.
Ms. Winston received her bachelors degree in psychology with a from Temple University.
